Troy Dreyfus

Dreyfus
graduated East Carolina
University in 1994 with a degree in Communications. His radio career
began as a
sportscaster at WZMB, the campus radio station. Some of Dreyfus' past
accomplishments included being elected as Vice-President of the ECU
Student Body in 1993, Founding President of ECU's SAE fraternity
chapter, founding member and vice-president ECU Student Pirate Club.
Dreyfus has 15-plus years of marketing and sales experience. Troy also
currently hosts the popular Live @ Five each weekday in addition
to The
Press Box program on Pirate Radio 1250 & 930.
Jonathan Ellerbe

Ellerbe also is a graduate of East Carolina University
with a degree in Communications & Marketing in 1997. While
attending ECU, Ellerbe was an intern at the ECU Athletic Department,
Sales Director of WZMB, active in Student Government Association and a
member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Ellerbe has 11-plus years of
marketing and sales experience. Ellerbe also co-hosts Live @ Five on
Pirate Radio 1250 & 930. Ellerbe is married and lives in
Greenville with his wife, Liz & dog, Ellie.
Jeff Charles

Jeff
Charles is the
host of “The Morning Drive” every weekday morning on Pirate Radio 1250
& 930 from 7am-8am. “The Morning Drive” is a fast paced and
live morning show with updates on local news, sports, weather, traffic,
plus a variety of daily features In addition to “The Morning Drive”,
Jeff Charles is also the host a one-hour weekly sports show “From the
Booth” every Wednesday from 6pm-7pm and the host of the “UBE Pirate
Preview” every home football Saturday from 9am-10am. This will be
the fourth consecutive year for both of these programs on Pirate Radio.
Jeff Charles begins his 19th year as the play-by-play “Voice of the
Pirates.” Charles, who received the 2000 North Carolina
Sportscaster-of-the-Year Award, handled play-by-play duties for
Virginia Tech, Illinois, and Furman prior to becoming the "Voice of the
Pirates". He also served as sports director at WSB in Atlanta where he
was the night-time host of a sports talk show heard throughout 38
states and Canada on the 50,000-watt clear channel station. Charles
also works selected college basketball games for FOX television. He and
his wife, Debby, reside in Greenville.
Shirley Rhodes

Shirley
Rhodes has
been a part of the Pirate Radio 1250 and 930 family since its inception
in 2003. She is currently the Program Director and Production
Manger. She is also involved behind the scenes with shows like
the Budweiser Pregame Tailgate and the Bill Clark Homes 5th Quarter
Postgame Call-In Show. Currently, she assists Jeff Charles in the
Morning Drive, a daily morning show on Pirate Radio. Shirley is a
native of Pitt County and is a 1997 graduate of Barton College in
Wilson, NC. There she earned a Bachelor’s degree in
Communications and served in the Disciples of Christ Student
Union. She has a strong background in sports, both as a former
athlete at Farmville Central High School and working with the men’s and
women’s basketball teams at Barton. She has assisted Jeff Charles
in production work for the Pirate Sports Radio Network during football
and basketball seasons in the past. Shirley is also the play-by-play
voice of the ECU women's basketball team for their internet broadcasts
on ecupirates.com. Shirley still resides in her
hometown of Farmville, NC.
Allen Thomas

Allen
is the co-host of The Overton’s Locker Room and the
Pirate Radio ECU Football Pre-Game and Post Game Shows. Allen
also makes regular guest appearances during Live @ Five. Allen is
a native of Eastern North Carolina and a graduate of East Carolina
University. Allen got a degree in business and was Student Body
President at ECU. Allen was the founder and former director of
Jefferson Pilot Sports Online Division: JPSports.com, founder IQMAX
Technology based in Charlotte and founder and architect of ECU's
grassroots advocacy effort Purple Alert. Currently: external advocacy
consultant, legislative lobbying/consulting and real estate
development.
Brian
North

Brian
North is a regular on many Pirate Radio local programs and writes
weekly articles on www.pirateradio1250.com. Brian was born and
raised in upstate New York in the small town of Hartford. Brian
graduated Cum laude from James Madison University in 1992 with a major
in Communications, a concentration in broadcasting, and a minor in
Coaching. Brian was hired at WCTI in September of 1998 as The
sports director and has enjoyed every minute of it, and looks forward
to bringing everyone all the great sports moments that happen In
Eastern North Carolina.
Chris Stansbury
Chris Stansbury is the co-host of the Overton's Locker Room, with Allan
Thomas, as well as contributor to PirateRadio1250.com. Chris has
been the Public Information Officer for the New Bern Police Department
since 2004. Prior to joining the police department, Chris spent
two plus years with FOX 17 in Nashville, Tennessee as weekend sports
anchor and sports reporter. Before heading west, Chris spent 9
years with WNCT-TV 9 in Greenville, NC as photographer to reporter to
sports anchor/reporter.
Chris is a five time Associated Press Sports Award Winner and 2001 Emmy
Award Winner for Best Sportscast. Chris was born and raised in
Southern Maryland, attended East Carolina University in 1989 and has
made a home in the heart of Pirate Country. Chris is married to his
beautiful wife, Terri and they have two sons.
Brian Bailey

Brian
Bailey is a regular co-host on The Press Box on Pirate Radio & is
also a special correspondent to many other programs on the Pirate
Radio. Brian also is the Sports Director and 6pm and 11pm sports
anchor for Eyewitness News Nine. He joined WNCT-TV in October of 1984
and was promoted to Sports Director in April of 1986. Brian's sports
casting career began in Chesapeake, Virginia, where he broadcast high
school football and basketball games for local radio and cable
television.
Brian is a ten-time award winner by the North Carolina Associated
Press. He was named the Professional Broadcaster of the Year by East
Carolina University in 1988.
Brian Meador

Brian
Meador is a regular on The Press Box on Pirate Radio and writes weekly
articles on www.pirateradio1250.com. Brian lives and breathes
sports, especially Pirate athletics! He is a native of
Fuquay-Varina and a graduate of East Carolina University. Brian has
worked in the Eastern Carolina television market, most of it in sports,
for over 10 years, and is currently the weekend sports anchor for
WITN-7.
Billy Weaver

Billy
Weaver writes weekly articles on www.pirateradio1250.com and is a
regular during Pirate Radio's ECU's Game Day Coverage and Local Sports
Shows.
You might say Billy Weaver has purple and gold in his blood. That's
because Billy attended East Carolina University from 1991 to 1993 and
is a die-hard ECU Pirate fan.
Billy has worked in sports since 1993. It was in 1998, that Billy came
back to Eastern Carolina, following his affection for ECU sports and
his desire to work as sports director WITN-TV, the official station of
the ECU Pirates. He has been honored for his work by winning a North
Carolina Associated Press award for best sports feature.
He currently anchors WITN-7 Sports on the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. weekday
newscasts and also serves as color commentator for East Carolina
basketball, football and baseball.
Billy is married and lives in Greenville with his family. He and his
wife, Kim, have two children, Ashton and Kaitlyn.

Paul
J. Clifford
Paul J. Clifford is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Alumni
Relations and the Executive Vice President of the East Carolina Alumni
Association. He is responsible for directing a program that offers
programs,
services, and communications to 120,000 Pirate Alumni worldwide.
Paul resides in Greenville with his
wife, Jenne, and their three children,
Aidan, Avery, and Abigail. He is a 1996 graduate of Bloomsburg
University of
Pennsylvania where he was recognized as the 2005 Outstanding Young
Alumnus.
Jennifer Watson
Jennifer is part of the Membership and Marketing team for
the Alumni Association. Her primary roles include writing Alumni
Association
publications such as PiratePulse and The Pirate’s Chantey, promoting
the Alumni
Association’s activities through various media outlets, and overseeing
content
for member communications.
An eastern North Carolina girl,
Jennifer grew up in Kinston
and graduated from Barton College in Wilson with a degree in
Communications.
Prior to joining the Alumni Relations staff Jennifer worked in
Institutional
Advancement at Barton. She and her husband, Chris, live in Greenville,
and
enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time with family.
